Climb the most striking peaks in the Pizol region. The summit duet is part of the summit quartet, which consists of the Pizol summit, Hochwart, Gamidauerspitz and Garmil. The combination of Garmil + Gamidauerspitz is the easier of the two partial hikes.

On the Gamidauerspitz and the Garmil, the Sarganserland and the St. Gallen Rhine Valley lie at our feet. To the left, the Churfirsten peaks rise out of the ground, while to the right, the view stretches as far as the Grisons mountains. With a bit of luck, you may even spot chamois or eagles along the way. Information boards about the UNESCO World Heritage Tectonic Arena Sardona also line the trail.

Summit Quartet - The complete tour

The summit quartet includes the Garmil, the Gamidauerspitz, the Hochwart and the Pizol. As the highest peak at 2,844 m above sea level and the namesake of the area, the Pizol summit is the highlight of the tour. Along the way, you will also be enchanted by crystal blue mountain lakes, seemingly otherworldly scree landscapes, romantic Alps and, with a bit of luck, even chamois, ibex or eagles. Nowhere else can you enjoy the view as undisturbed as on the highest peaks of the Pizol skiing and hiking region.

Summit duet combination Pizol + Hochwart

The two summit duets in the Pizol region open up the possibility of splitting the challenging summit quartet tour into two halves.
