The scenic hike with refreshing mountain lakes leads you from Pardiel over a high moor landscape past the Viltersersee to the Wangersee.
The first part of the hike leads along the Heidi trail to the vantage point Schwarzbüel at 1,727 meters above sea level, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the Rhine valley to Lake Constance and the surrounding countries. The trail continues across a high moor landscape to the Viltersersee, which invites you to linger. Sit down for a little picnic on the shore and enjoy the view. For those who are not sensitive to the cold, a jump into the cold water is of course also recommended. After the Viltersersee, the path winds past an alpine hut, which offers the alpine farmers shelter in bad weather, to the green-blue Wangsersee.
In summer, when the weather is fine and the chairlifts are in operation, a free shuttle bus runs between the valley stations in Wangs and Bad Ragaz from 2:00 pm to bring you comfortably back to your starting point if you return to the valley on the other side. There is no fixed timetable, just register at the ticket office.
