Fishing

The idyllic waters along the five-lake hike are a popular spot for sport fishermen: Wangsersee (2,206 m above sea level), Wildsee (2,438 m above sea level), Schottensee (2,335 m above sea level), Schwarzsee (2,368 m above sea level) and Baschalvasee (2,174 m above sea level). Wildsee, for example, has been stocked with Namaycush young fish (Canadian lake trout) for over 40 years.

In August and September, sport fishermen can fish for magnificent Namaycush, Arctic char and trout in the mountain lakes on the Pizol. Daily permits are available for CHF 40 (and CHF 20 deposit) at the Bad Ragaz and Wangs valley stations.
