Tip: If you want to spend a little less energy, walk from Fürggli on the alpine meadow directly to Garmil.
Tour description
From Wangs we take the gondola lift to Furt. From Furt, we head towards Fürggli via Wasserwald. The first section is only slightly hilly, which is ideal for warming up. The route then zigzags up to Fürggli. The fantastic view towards the Churfirsten range makes up for the initial exertions. The route then heads downhill towards Untervermii. From here, we follow a forest road to Obervermii and then a mountain path to the highest point of the tour, the Garmil. On the Garmil, a wonderful view over the entire Pizol region and the Rhine Valley as far as Lake Constance awaits us. Next, a great trail awaits us, which leads us to the old Alp Gaffia.
From the old Alp Gaffia, we walk below the mountain station of the chairlift in the direction of Furt. Passing the Berghotel Gaffia, we continue downhill towards our destination. We can fortify ourselves with food and drink in one of the restaurants before taking the cable car back down to Wangs.
