Combine the famous 5-lake hike with a picnic prepared especially for you. You will receive a rucksack filled with regional delicacies.

The 5-lake hike is one of the most beautiful hikes in Switzerland. On your way, you will pass five crystal-clear mountain lakes and enjoy views of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sardona. A picnic rucksack filled for you is ideal for the five-hour hike, which you can easily pick up at the valley station of the Pizolbahnen cable car in Wangs. You then take a gondola lift and two chairlifts up to the Pizolhütte. Now you can start the 5-lake hike. No matter where you stop along the way: The views are phenomenal everywhere. Another highlight is your provisions: your rucksack is filled with regional delicacies. From organic Heidiland cheese and crusty wreaths from the bakery to salsiz from a regional butcher's shop and sweet snacks.

Price and reservation

The picnic rucksack incl. mountain railway ticket for the 5-lake hike back costs:

CHF 188.00 for 2 people
CHF 119.00 for 1 person

The picnic backpack can be reserved from June 27 through October 18, 2026 (during the operating hours of the Wangs-Pizolhütte facilities).

We’ll lend you the backpack, picnic blanket, aluminum food container, glasses, and a knife for a deposit of CHF 50.00. We clean and disinfect the picnic backpack after each use. Of course, you’re also welcome to bring your own backpack. We’ll pack the contents for you, and you can pick up your picnic at the valley station in Wangs.
