The Pizol area is only 60 minutes away from Zurich or St. Gallen by car and public transport. Motorhome parking lot
At our valley station in Bad Ragaz we offer public motorhome parking spaces in a quiet but central location during the summer season. Thanks to the fields that line the site and the forest in the background, you can enjoy your peace and quiet and a nature experience with a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. The campsite is the ideal starting point for excursions into the region and of course the Pizol area. Bad Ragaz is only 5 minutes away by car or post bus.
The pitch can be used for a maximum of 2 consecutive nights (CHF 19.00 per night and vehicle excl. visitor's tax). Overnight guests on the pitch benefit from a 20% discount on selected mountain cableway tickets (not cumulative with other discounts). Toilets, fresh water, snack machines, WLAN and faeces toilet are available. The campsite is open from the beginning of May to the end of October, only during the summer season of the Pizolbahnen. The payment of the pitch and the tourist taxes can be made during the regular opening hours of the ticket offices of the Pizol cable cars.
Arrival by public transport
The Pizol area can be reached quickly and comfortably by public transport: From Zurich and St. Gallen in one hour to Sargans or Bad Ragaz, from Chur in 15 minutes. From the Sargans and Bad Ragaz train stations, buses take you to the valley stations of the Pizolbahnen in just a few minutes.
Valley station Bad Ragaz
From the Bad Ragaz train station take the post bus (line 456) to the bus stop Bad Ragaz, Pizolbahn. The bus runs every half hour in the mornings and evenings, every hour during around noon and with larger gaps off season.
The local bus in Bad Ragaz is included in the cablecar tickets in winter. In summer you need a valid ticket. The local bus Bad Ragaz is integrated in the tariff association Ostwind (zone 382).
Valley station Wangs
From the Sargans train station, take bus line 429 or 430 to the Wangs, Pizolbahn stop. On weekdays there are four buses per hour, on Sunday two buses per hour.
P+RAIL day pass at half price
Using public transport - we as a tourism organisation also support this. But especially at the weekend, public transport connections are not ideal everywhere. Our tip: Park your car at one of the 600 or so SBB P+Rail locations and conveniently change there for the train to the Pizol cable cars. With the promo code PIZOL2023 you can benefit from a 50% discount on the parking fee at the weekend.
Directions by car
The two valley stations are only 5 minutes away from the highway exit and can be reached even in winter without snow chains or other aids. Ideal accessibility via the A3 (Zurich-Chur) and the A13 (Lake Constance-Sargans-Chur). For the valley station Wangs take the exit Sargans and for the valley station Bad Ragaz the exit Bad Ragaz Nord. The valley stations are well marked from the freeway exit.
