Traveling with
handicap

People with a disability do not have to miss out on sporting activities on the Pizol. Many of our offers are barrier-free or can be used with special sports equipment. The Pizolbahnen staff are happy to help guests with a disability so that they can get on and off our gondolas or chairlifts without stress.

In winter, you can enjoy the perfectly groomed slopes on the Pizol with monoskis, bi-skis, skibobs and special snowboards. People without sight or with a visual impairment can ski down the slopes safely with the support of a sighted companion (shouting or radio).

In summer, the Heidi trail from Pardiel to Alp Schwarzbüel is barrier-free for people with a mobility impairment. The Panoramarestaurant Edelweiss in Pardiel is also barrier-free.

Parking spaces
There are 2 parking spaces reserved for people with disabilities at the Wangs valley station and 8 parking spaces at the Bad Ragaz valley station.

Toilets
At the valley and mountain stations of the Bad Ragaz - Pardiel cable car (including the Heidi Trail) you will find one toilet each for people with disabilities.

Rates
There are two options for people in possession of a valid IV card to travel:

  • Persons with disabilities travel at the normal rate. Accompanying persons and guide dogs travel free of charge on presentation of an accompanying dog pass. Guide dogs can be carried on the chairlifts at their own risk.
  • Unaccompanied people with disabilities who do not require an accompanying person according to their IV card receive the group discount in summer and winter.
