Climb the most striking peaks in the Pizol region. The summit duet is part of the summit quartet, which consists of the Pizol summit, Hochwart, Gamidauerspitz and Garmil. The Pizol + Hochwart combination is the more challenging of the two partial hikes.

The Pizol rises majestically up to 2,844 m above sea level above our diverse local recreation area. On this tour, we experience the famous Wildsee lake, the striking mountain peaks in the background and the rocky crater of the former Pizol glacier from different angles. From the summit of the Pizol, we have a fantastic panoramic view of the St. Gallen, Graubünden and Glarus mountains. The Hochwart offers an impressive view of the Schottensee, the Schwarzplangg, the Pizol summit and the Gaffara Valley, where up to 600 sheep graze in the summer months.

Summit Quartet - The complete tour

The summit quartet includes the Garmil, the Gamidauerspitz, the Hochwart and the Pizol. As the highest peak at 2,844 m above sea level and the namesake of the area, the Pizol summit is the highlight of the tour. Along the way, however, you will also be enchanted by crystal blue mountain lakes, seemingly otherworldly scree landscapes, romantic Alps and, with a bit of luck, even chamois, ibex or eagles. Nowhere else can you enjoy the view as undisturbed as on the highest peaks of the Pizol skiing and hiking area. All information about the summit quartet can be found here.

Summit duet combination Grazil + Gamidauerspitz

With the two summit duets in the Pizol area, you have the option of splitting the challenging summit quartet tour into two halves. All information about the Garmil+ Gamidauerspitz summit duet variant can be found here.
