Rail Service During the Summer Season Finale
All five summer lifts will remain in daily operation through Sunday, October 18, 2026.
From October 19 through 25, 2026, the gondola from Bad Ragaz will run daily to Pardiel. It will then operate on the weekends of October 31–November 1, November 7–8, and November 14–15, 2026.
Fall Hikes Through October 18
The famous 5-Lakes Hike offers breathtaking views of five different mountain lakes: Wangsersee, Wildsee, Schottensee, Schwazsee, and Baschalvasee. Whether you’re heading high up to the summit of Pizol or the Hochwart, or prefer a leisurely stroll along the Panorama Höhenweg or a climb up the Garmil, fall is at its best and shows off its most beautiful colors.

With over 120 kilometers of hiking trails, the mountain region offers countless opportunities for varied fall hikes. Whether on the famous 5-Lakes Hike, the Panorama High Trail, or the Bettlerweg —stunning panoramic views and autumnal landscapes accompany every step.
Families will also find plenty to enjoy: the Heidi Trail, the MounTeens Detective Trail, and the Water Forest offer exciting adventures. Those looking for action can explore the mountains on mountain carts or from a bird’s-eye view while paragliding.
The mountain experience is rounded out by cozy mountain restaurants and breathtaking viewpoints. Whether at the Pizolhütte with a view of the Wildseelugge, at the newly opened Alpenhotel Furt, at the Alpina mountain restaurant, at the Laufbodenstübli, or at the Graue Hörner —the sun-drenched terraces invite you to linger and enjoy the moment. In Pardiel, too, the Edelweiss panoramic restaurant and the Schwarzbüelhüttli offer the chance to indulge in culinary delights. Fall Hikes Starting October 19
Take the gondola from Bad Ragaz to Pardiel, where your fall hike begins: Accompanied by wonderful views, you’ll make your way to Laufböden via the Bettlerweg trail or the 2-Seen-Wanderung trail. The leisurely loop hike along the Heidipfad takes you past Peter’s goats to Alp Schwarzbüel and back to Pardiel.
