One of the most popular hikes in Switzerland. Five crystal-clear mountain lakes and views of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sardona characterize this route. The 5-lake hike is expected to be accessible from the beginning of July.
The 5-Lakes Hike is one of the most beautiful panoramic mountain hikes in Switzerland. High above the tree line, a mountain trail winds its way through the constantly changing alpine landscape, passing five mountain lakes - each with its own unique character. From the lovely Wangsersee on the Pizol high plateau, the trail continues to the second lake, the striking turquoise-colored Wildsee with the Pizol glacier and summit in the background. Followed by the dark Schwarzsee, the third lake, the Schottensee, shines in a deep, powerful blue. Finally, the trail leads past the greenish, romantic Baschalvasee.
On the hike, it is worth taking in the views in all directions. Along the entire route, there are always new and fascinating views of the Glarus and Graubünden mountains, the Rhine Valley and as far as Lake Constance.
