November 24, 2023

Reto Staub, a proven tourism expert and practitioner with an impressive track record, is taking over the operational management of Pizolbahnen. Born in Ragaz, he will take up his position on February 1, 2024.

With an impressive career as country manager of a major international travel provider in Mexico, the Caribbean and the Pacific region, as well as many years of experience in the areas of corporate management with comprehensive responsibility for results (500 employees), product development, strategic and operational sales responsibility, stakeholder management, etc., Reto Staub brings a wide range of skills and expertise to the challenges at Pizol. He therefore fulfills the requirements profile for the new role to a high degree. Staub, who returned to Switzerland two years ago, is currently Head of Customer Service at ALIGRO, which operates throughout Switzerland. "I am honored and very excited to lead the Pizolbahnen into the future. The Pizol - my local mountain - is a unique skiing and hiking area with great potential and a wide range of possibilities," emphasizes the newly elected CEO.

The Board of Directors of Pizolbahnen is convinced that in Reto Staub, a personality has been found who is ideally suited to successfully continue the path taken at Pizol and set new trends. "In Reto Staub, we have found our preferred candidate for this challenging position and we are convinced that he will successfully lead Pizolbahnen into a new era with his wealth of experience and entrepreneurial spirit," says Markus Oppliger, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pizolbahnen AG.

The election of tourism expert Reto Staub as CEO marks another important milestone in the development of the Pizolbahnen - after 14 years of development work under the previous management - and underlines the company's commitment to consolidating and expanding its position as a first-class skiing and hiking region. Reto Staub prevailed against numerous candidates in a multi-stage evaluation process.
